Harrah's Atlantic City celebrated 25 years in the market and the marina district property began a $550 million upgrade and expansion in 2006.

Already open are The Waterfront Shops at Harrah's, galleria-style shopping with seven distinct retail stores: Destinations, Elements at Home, Park Place Jewelers, Studio, Top Drawer and Sony. The shops are adjacent to the Concourse in the Grand Lobby. The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Spa, a state-of-the-art sanctuary of service, sophistication and serenity, opened in May 2007.

The brand-new pool and entertainment complex is housed under a 90-foot dome with a constant temperature of 82 degrees.

The centerpiece of the expansion will be a 964-room hotel tower featuring 13 super-suites and 183 suites, adding to the present 1,626 rooms. It is expected to open in second quarter 2008.
